"And Yet It Turns" is a musical comedy by Semafor Theatre, which premiered on May 6, 2024. The plot takes place in a village dance hall where people dance to an old portable gramophone and records by His Master's Voice. The dance hall is owned by Jiří Štědroň, the village DJ is Jiří Suchý, and the wealthy woman who finances the establishment so she can dance and sing songs from bygone days is Jitka Molavcová. All the old songs have been given new Czech lyrics by Jiří Suchý. This is an intimate performance by three actors without the Semafor orchestra — an experiment in which music and humour have a firm place. Lyrics and direction: Jiří Suchý. Musical collaboration: Jakub Přibyl.
