Jiří Suchý is a Czech lyricist, actor, playwright, and co-founder of the Prague Divadlo Semafor theatre, established in 1959. He is one of the most prominent figures of 20th-century Czech popular culture, known for his witty song lyrics and theatrical works, notably his long-running collaboration with composer Jiří Šlitr. In the musical comedy "A přece se točí" he appears as an actor and serves as director and lyricist.
