Safe by the Water
Žluté lázně, Prague
On Saturday, 23 May 2026, the Žluté lázně complex in Prague's Podolí district will host another edition of Safe by the Water – a Family Day with Emergency Services, running from 12 to 18 o'clock. The event is organized by the Public Order Police Service of the Czech Police Headquarters in cooperation with the State Water Authority, the Prague Metropolitan Police Directorate, and the Žluté lázně complex. The 2026 ambassador for the event is Olympic gold medalist in whitewater slalom Jiří Prskavec.
On the right bank of the Vltava River, visitors will see a helicopter water rescue demonstration, jet skis, an underwater drone, deep-diving equipment, a cabin cruiser, a barge, and an underwater robot. Guests will learn proper resuscitation techniques, watch police divers at work, and can train with service dogs in protective gear.
Children will receive a game card at the entrance and embark on an adventure trail – everyone who completes all stations and finishes the tasks will receive a prize. The cultural programme features beloved children's acts Kájuška and Tanečkohraní s Luckou. Entry to the event is free.
