Description was written before the event

Open House Prague is an architecture and design festival that opens spaces to the public that are normally inaccessible. The 12th edition of the festival runs from May 18–24, 2026. The accompanying programme – debates, lectures, guided tours, and exhibitions – takes place throughout the week starting May 18. The main part of the festival happens on the weekend of May 23–24, when more than 100 buildings and spaces across Prague open for free, including approximately 20 new venues. This year's theme focuses on the relationship between heritage preservation and urban development. Among the new venues are two historic estates in Stodůlky – Hájecký dvůr and Saukupův statek. The Great Strahov Stadium celebrates its 100th anniversary, and the festival also commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zdeněk Kuna, co-author of the eastern stand. The festival also celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of František Roith and the 170th anniversary of the birth of Josef Fanta. No prior registration is required for weekend building tours. Some accompanying events have limited capacity and require reservation or ticket purchase via mobile app (Android/iOS). The festival information centre is located at Hybernská 998/4, Prague 1, and is open weekdays 10–18, weekends 9–17. Entry to the information centre is wheelchair accessible. The programme is conducted mainly in Czech, some events are suitable for international visitors, and some guided tours are conducted in English.
