Family Opera: Mendel Megaking – Preview III

The family opera Mendel Megaking – Preview III runs on Thursday, 25 June 2026 at the Municipal Theatre in Znojmo. It is one of five performances of this chamber opera presented by the theatre in June and July. The show is designed for parents and children, blending the history of genetics with a school setting—Gregor Johann Mendel symbolically "rises from the dead" as a school caretaker and joins pupils on adventures in the school garden. The historic Municipal Theatre on Republic Square, opened in 1900, provides an intimate venue for this student production from Brno's JAMU. Tickets are available from 300 CZK.
