Family Opera: Mendel Megaking – Pre-premiere IV

The chamber opera Rodinná opera: Mendel Megaking – předpremiéra IV. plays at the Municipal Theatre in Znojmo on Thursday, 25 June 2026 at 11:00. This is the fourth performance in a series of Znojmo shows running through June and July 2026. The historic theatre building on náměstí Republiky, opened in 1900, features a pseudo-Renaissance exterior and ornate Rococo interior. The opera tells the story of Gregor Johann Mendel, founder of genetics, whose research comes alive in the garden of a contemporary primary school. The performance is designed for both children and adults and is created by students of the Music Faculty at JAMU in Brno. Tickets from 300 CZK.
