Kopečková Fair in Letohrad 2026

Kopečková Fair is a traditional folk celebration held annually in May on Václav Square in Letohrad and at Bečvárna below Letohrad Castle. In 2026, the 313th edition takes place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 May. Most fair attractions arrive in the city on Monday before the fair weekend; they open on Thursday morning, when the fair is first visited by disabled clients from the Dům pod hradem Žampach care home and children from kindergartens in Letohrad and surrounding villages. Visitors can enjoy carousels and entertainment attractions for all age groups, food stalls, folk crafts in the golden alley, and vendor stands. The Saturday programme culminates in the Fair Festival at Bečvárna from 18:00 and a traditional fireworks display at 21:30, launched from the castle park. Throughout the fair weekend, breeders hold a Small Livestock Exhibition in their area near the swimming pool beyond the railway crossing. Between the two venues, visitors can take a ride on a steam train. Entry to the fair is free.
