The Royal Procession – The Pilgrimage of Empress Eliška is an exceptional tourist and historical event connecting communities and towns in the Beroun region. This year's 20th edition takes place on the last May weekend (30–31 May 2026) and is freely inspired by the historically documented pilgrimage of Queen Eliška seeking the healing of her husband Charles IV. The procession departs from Králův Dvůr Castle and travels through Beroun and Tetín to reach Srbsko. At every stop, you will find a ceremonial welcome and a rich historical programme: drum shows, fencing duels, knightly tournaments (SHŠ Lepus), falconry demonstrations, period dances and music, craft stalls (blacksmith, lacemaker, wireworker, ceramics, cutler and more), puppet theatre and entertainment for children including a grand paper battle for the castle. If you wish, you can join the procession and walk part of the route accompanied by knights, drummers, horsemen and other period characters. The event is organized by the City of Beroun in cooperation with the City of Králův Dvůr and the municipalities of Tetín and Srbsko with the support of the Central Bohemian Region. Admission to the accompanying programme is free. Spectators are asked to maintain a safe distance from riders, carriages and the entire procession.
