Svatby v domě (as part of the Bonjour Plzeň Festival)

The production "Svatby v domě" is a theatrical adaptation of Bohumil Hrabal's novel of the same name, staged in French with Czech subtitles. The director is Lara Borić, an actress and theatre director who staged this Hrabal novel on the French stage in 2024. The performance takes place as part of the spring edition of the Bonjour Plzeň Festival, which celebrates Francophone culture in Plzeň since 1992 — in 2026 it is holding its 30th edition. The festival offers more than two weeks of experiences connected with France and Belgium. The performance will take place on the New Stage of the J. K. Tyl Theatre (part of the New Theatre on Palacký Square) and will last approximately three hours (19:00–22:00).
