Imaginárium of the Forman Brothers Theatre
Ostrov Štvanice, Prague
The Imaginárium of the Forman Brothers Theatre is an extensive interactive exhibition open from May 10 to June 30, 2026 on Štvanice Island (Prague 7) beneath the HolKa bridge, in a unique mobile hall built by French circus masters. The exhibition combines puppets, art objects, ingenious mechanisms, magical scenery, theatrical props, painted pictures, a carousel, and vintage curiosities into a playful world full of imagination. This year, for the first time in the Czech Republic, visitors can see objects created for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where the Imaginárium became part of the accompanying programme. The average visit lasts 45–60 minutes, and the exhibition is designed for visitors aged 4 and up. Open Monday to Friday 9–19, weekends 10–19. The programme includes weekend theatre performances for children (Studio Ypsilon, Divadlo Minor, Geisslers Hoffcomoedianten) — admission to the exhibition is free with these theatre tickets. On weekday mornings, the exhibition can be reserved for kindergartens, children's groups, and school classes. In June (June 4–25, 2026), the Imaginárium will merge with the ARENA Festival of the Forman Brothers Theatre, which will bring theatre, new circus, art workshops, and family programming to Štvanice. Over twenty artists and theatre collaborators contributed to the exhibition.
