Festival ARENA

Festival ARENA, organized by the Forman Brothers Theatre, is an annual showcase of theatre, new circus, music, and contemporary visual art. In 2026, the festival moves to Štvanice Island (Prague 7, the area near the HolKa bridge) and runs from June 4 to 25. Entry to the festival grounds is free.

The main production is "The Bird Parliament" — a performance by the Forman Brothers Theatre inspired by the work of Persian mystic Fariduddin Attar. The show returns to Prague after a sold-out tour through France and Belgium. The performance lasts 75 minutes without intermission and is recommended for ages 8 and up. Among the international guests are French visual artist Boris Gibé with his new show "Anatomy of Desire" and the Belgian ensemble Les P'tits Bras with the acrobatic performance "Vent d'Ouest".

The festival also features "Imaginarium" — an interactive exhibition of puppets, art objects, mechanisms, and theatrical props for visitors of all ages (from 4 years old). The exhibition is open from May 10 to June 30, weekdays 9–19, weekends 10–19. Tickets for individual performances are available at GoOut.net; entry to the grounds and the Imaginarium exhibition is free (exhibition entry is included with theatre tickets).
