Vysočina for Itself - From Prague to New York

Concert agency ARS/KONCERT presents the closing evening of the Vysočina for Itself concert cycle – Season 1, 2025/2026. For the first time in the history of the Vysočina Region, a comprehensive cycle of symphonic concerts has been created, bringing the best of Czech and world music. This sixth and final evening of the cycle is titled "From Prague to New York" and connects two celebrated symphonies with the story of their world premieres. Mozart's Symphony No. 38 in D major K. 504 "Prague" had its world premiere in Mozart's beloved Prague. Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor op. 95 "From the New World" was first performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Performers: Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. Conductor: Alena Hron (chief conductor of the South Bohemian Philharmonic since the 2024/25 season, recipient of the Marin Alsop "Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship" 2024). Concert host: Jaromír Javůrek. The evening includes an intermission with the opportunity to visit the VIP zone of the Vysočina for Itself Friends Club.
