Hudební divadlo Karlín (Karlín Musical Theatre) is a pseudobaroque theatre building in Prague 8, opened in 1881. Originally used for circus and variety shows, it gradually became the leading operetta and musical stage in the country. After the devastating 2002 floods it underwent a major reconstruction and was ceremonially reopened in 2006. With 921 seats it is the second largest theatre in Prague. The venue is operated by the City of Prague.
