The closing event of the TANEC PRAHA festival will be a new work by Christos Papadopoulos, one of the most distinctive choreographers of the contemporary European dance scene.

The work combines fluidity and plasticity with sharp, explosive turns and gradually builds toward an energetic explosion that culminates in an ecstatic finale.

About the venue: Hudební divadlo Karlín

Hudební divadlo Karlín (Karlín Musical Theatre) is a pseudobaroque theatre building in Prague 8, opened in 1881. Originally used for circus and variety shows, it gradually became the leading operetta and musical stage in the country. After the devastating 2002 floods it underwent a major reconstruction and was ceremonially reopened in 2006. With 921 seats it is the second largest theatre in Prague. The venue is operated by the City of Prague.
