Silent Heroism Brno: Stories from the Fifties

The Institut Paměti národa (Memory of Nations Institute) Brno has been located since autumn 2021 in a Renaissance building on Radnická 10, next to the Old Town Hall. It hosts the multimedia exhibition Silent Heroism (opened 2023), which uses augmented reality, panoramic projections and interactive screens to tell the stories of heroes from World War II and the communist era. The institute organises lectures, debates, exhibitions and screenings, and is part of the Memory of Nations project – one of the largest oral history collections in Central Europe. The ground floor houses the Memory of Nations Café.
