Moravian Parnassus is an annual theatre festival celebrating the renowned theatrical heritage of Mikulov, which in the 17th century was one of Europe's important theatre centres. Founded in 2013, the festival is named after Johann Georg Gettner, a native of Mikulov and member of a Baroque theatre company. The festival aims to commemorate the city's rich theatrical tradition and bridge Baroque art with contemporary theatre.
The programme includes theatre performances for both adults and children, expert lectures, and a summer theatrological symposium. Performances take place at various venues — in the castle grounds and at the Konvent Gallery. The festival also features concerts by the Hof-Musici ensemble, specializing in Baroque music with period instruments, and performances by the Geisslers Hofcomoedianten ensemble, which has been the festival's resident company since its inception. The festival is organized by Konvent Gallery, Mikulov Tourist Information Centre, Mikulov Regional Museum, and Mikulov Development Ltd., with financial support from the City of Mikulov.
