Description was written before the event

A ballet performance by the ensemble of the J. K. Tyl Theatre on the New Stage, which views the world through the eyes of a child before becoming an adult. The production is loosely inspired by the famous novel by French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The choreography was created by ballet ensemble director Jiří Pokorný, with original music composed by composer and singer Gabriela Vermelho. The story and direction are handled by theatre director Martin Otava, who together with Michal Lieberzeit also wrote the libretto. The set and costumes were designed by Dana Haklová, and the production is significantly enhanced by projections by Ondřej Brýna. The story explores eternal human discontent, responsibility for things entrusted to us, love, friendship, and stars that shine so everyone can find their own. The production had its world premiere on 23 March 2024 on the New Stage of the J. K. Tyl Theatre. The performance is intended for families with children. The title role of the Little Prince will be performed in alternation by Simone Carosso, Riccardo Gregolin, and Giacomo Mori, with the role of the Pilot played by Gaëtan Pires or Karel Audy. An interactive worksheet has been prepared for schools. The performance lasts approximately 110 minutes (11:00–12:50).
