The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (NDM) is the largest and oldest professional theatre in the Moravian-Silesian Region, operating in Ostrava since 1919. Uniquely in Moravia, it brings together four artistic ensembles – opera, drama, ballet, and musical – performing on three permanent stages: the Antonín Dvořák Theatre (517 seats), the Jiří Myron Theatre (623 seats), and the chamber Theatre "12" (opened 2018). It stages around 16 premieres and nearly 500 performances per year, and has been a member of Opera Europa since 2005.
