Through key works and figures, it demonstrates how new borders, ethnic diversity, and the emergence of administrative and industrial centers shaped the young state—and what role painting, sculpture, architecture, and book design played in its "design."
The programme traces how stylistic, economic, and political questions influenced the cultural scene and what role artistic groups, cultural centers, public institutions, private galleries, publishing houses, and manufacturing cooperatives played.
