Veletržní palác

Prague

About the venue

Veletržní palác (Trade Fair Palace) in Prague's Holešovice district is one of the first and largest functionalist buildings in Prague, constructed in 1925–1928 to designs by architects Josef Fuchs and Oldřich Tyl. Originally built for the Prague Sample Trade Fairs, it was handed over to the National Gallery Prague after a devastating fire in 1974 and reopened in 1995. Today it houses a permanent collection of 19th–21st century art featuring works by Picasso, Van Gogh, Klimt and Mucha, alongside temporary exhibitions.
